DELIVERY POLICY

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) is committed to a high level of customer service.

Delivery

All items in the online book shop will be posted using Australia Post general mail or in case of electronic delivery, via email delivery. Express delivery can be arranged at the additional expense of the customer. Please contact our book administrator below to arrange express delivery.

Time Frames

All items will be delivered to the customer with 21 days of ordering online. Please call our book administrator on call +61 2 4732 1211 to discuss the return or refund of any item purchased in our online store. Alternatively, please send an email to books@acel.org.au.

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) respects your privacy. Protecting your personal information is important to us.

ACEL collects personal information from its members to satisfy entry requirements, to provide products and services, and to promote professional networking among members.

Collection of personal information must be fair, lawful and not intrusive. A member/individual must be informed of the Council’s purpose of collection and they must have access to their personal information.

ACEL should only use or disclose information for the purpose for which it was collected, unless the member/individual has consented; or the secondary purpose is related to the primary purpose and a person would reasonably expect such use or disclosure; or the use is for direct marketing in specified circumstances; or in circumstances related to public interest such as law enforcement and public or individual health and safety.

Data Quality

ACEL must take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information it collects, uses or discloses is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

Data Security

ACEL must take reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access modification or disclosure.

Openness

ACEL must make this policy guideline document outlining its information handling practices available to anyone who asks.

Access and CorrectionACEL must give a member/individual access to his/her personal information it holds about that individual on request.

Identifiers

ACEL must not adopt, use or disclose an identifier that has been assigned by a Commonwealth government 'agency' (e.g. the Commonwealth's DUNS identifier).

Anonymity

ACEL must give people the option to interact anonymously whenever it is lawful and practicable to do.

Sensitive Information

ACEL must not collect sensitive information unless the individual has consented, it is required by law, or in other special specified circumstances, for example, relating to health services provision and individual or public health or safety.



ACEL Privacy Statement

While the Australian Council for Educational Leaders Limited (ACEL) is not required to comply with Privacy Legislation introduced in December 2001, ACEL is keen to subscribe to the principles outlined on a voluntary basis.

Personal information is held in the strictest confidence. ACEL takes every reasonable step to ensure that the personal information held in our database is not subject to loss, misuse or unauthorised access or alteration. ACEL also takes every reasonable step to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information that is no longer required.



REFUNDS AND RETURN POLICY

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) is committed to a high level of customer service.

Refunds

All items in online shop (except for DVD’s) are entitled to receive a refund within thirty (30) days of receipt.

DVD's are not entitled to be returned once the package is open.

Returns

Any item found to be faulty or damaged are to be returned to our office for replacement of refund with thirty (30) days of receipt.
